I recently had dealings for Conveyencing with above company and Mr Kevin Jolley Solr in particular who is a 'partner' in this firm.
I had a disagreement with Jolley in relation to Stamp duty payable and of course he insisted he was correct. It transpired afterwards on my dealing with a more reliable and honorable Solicitor that my argument was in fact correct. The issue was the correct figure on which to charge the 1% stamp duty, he insisted that it was the full contract figure whereas in fact is is the contract figure less the 13.5% VAT.
I have written to him on a number of occasions and he just ignores my genuine requests. Mind you his conveyence fee of €2500 plus VAT plus incidentals is excessive in todays fees, many Solicitors in Dublin are doing similar business for less than €1200 plus VAT. Furthermore he refused to give me a detailed listing of actual expenditure, many items were marked as 'approx'
I believe this firm is out of line and untrustworthy to do conveyencing work based on my above experience.
