Avoid at all costs
Phelan was simply awful. Vote of no confidence in her (lack of) ability to represent my best interests. Charged thousands and no real proof of doing anything to advance my case. Phelan told me she had finally secured an important document from the opposition. Somehow, the document never made it into my file. The bill I received was vague, with no apportioning of billable hours. I still have no idea of who "worked" on my case. When questioned, she refused to discuss her bill. Clearly, she does not stand by her "work". Half a year later and a bill for telephone calls to opposing counsel that I was never advised of. And "receiving an email" apparently is a billable item at Phelan's. Unbelievable charges for nonexistent service. Phelan is hardly ever in her office. I took my business elsewhere. You may wish to do the same.
